Happy first week of school! What a wonderful start we had. We loved seeing all the
smiling faces in our rooms and getting to know the children we are spending this year
with.
First off, we wanted to send a HUGE thank you to all the families that sent school supplies
in for the classroom. We were overwhelmed with the amount of your generosity.
Some things we did this week:
Started getting to know each other and making new friends
Played with Magic playdoh and discovered that we are going to have a GREAT YEAR!
Read some great books about the beginning of the school year
Made butterfly bracelets
Got our Welcome Bags
Explored our new gravel path behind the school (thank you Mr. G!)
Began discussions about classroom community
Read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and made our own coconut trees
Enjoyed some extra recess and met up with friends from other classrooms
Ready First Day Jitters and enjoyed some jitter juice (apple juice and fruit punch)
We hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend and we look forward to seeing all of our
amazing students again next week!
