ANNOUNCEMENTS:
*****Picture Retake Day has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 26th at 10am.*****
* *Open House will be Wednesday, November 16 (PreK-1) and Thursday, November 17 (grades 2-4). The schedule for both nights will be: Tour classrooms 5:00-6:00, Dinner 5:30-7:00.
The highlight of our week this week was surely our field trip to the Conant Farm! We want to extend a huge thank you to the Conant family for graciously inviting us to visit their farm. It was such a fun and informative experience for us all!
We also:
Learned about making text-to-text connections during our reading workshop and continued to think about text-to-self connections as well.
Started learning about short /a/ word families during our word study time
Began our second math unit which focuses on geometry
Continued to discuss our Richmond community and the jobs/people that help with our day-to-day lives
During our writing workshop, we learned the importance of choosing a “seed” topic for our stories versus choosing a “watermelon” topic for our stories.
A BIG thank you to all of our families for taking the time to meet with us during our parent/teacher conferences! Your partnership makes a difference!!
